Film description
After many years of absence, a young introvert returns to his home village. He visits his mother and learns that he has a sister. The main character wants to settle down and he builds a house on an island. The bond between him and his sister grows stronger and they finally decide to live together - against the increasing disapproval of the family and local community. Tragedy is in the air... but above all there is the extraordinary atmosphere of the Danube Delta - wind, water, light, and sounds. In this particular surrounding, we observe a mythical story about nature and culture, about love and taboo, about an individual and community. The surrounding is depicted mainly by the landscape of sounds with various layers, rhythms, and hues of nature. The seemingly idyllic, but in reality wild environment becomes a stage for a drama reminiscent of Herzog's films. Jan Topolski Presentation in partnership with Film Festival Cottbus - Festival of East European Cinema.
