About the event
The Hungarian band Masfel was established in 1991, but it has lately undergone a creative transformation. Now, their music has a unique and very refreshing sound combining electro guitar pop, jazz, drum'n'bass, dub, acid-jazz and modern rock. Masfel consists of the guitarist Barnabas, drummer Zoltan Ujj, bass-player Peter Sabak and saxophonist Levente Lukacs. The band is regularly invited to festivals in Hungary (e.g. in Sziget) and abroad: in France, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, but they have never performed in Poland. Masfel's latest album En Garde was released in 2005, but since then, the band has composed music for films, theatre performances and computer games.
