About the event
The Jazzanova collective was created in 1995 in Berlin. It includes six DJs: Alexander Barck, Class Brieler, Roskow Kretschmann, Stefan Leisering, Axel Reinemer and Jürgen von Knoblauch. Their music is a fresh and unexpected mix of new electronic sounds and classical ones. The unique sound soon gained them appreciation outside Germany, and, with the support of Gilles Peterson, a British radio personality and founder of the production company Talkin Loud, they conquered stages all over the world. Jazzanova have recorded two albums: In Between (2002) and Of All the Things (2008). They have been remixed on many records and presented in more than ten medleys.
